Villa Kavya is a contemporary four-bedroom villa in Canggu, located just a few minutes walk from Canggu beach. Generously designed to maximize space and privacy on 1500 square metres, the shingle-roof property offers the best of tropical island living with all creature comforts. Two swimming pools, one of them 17-metres long, big wooden patios and an expansive, flat-lawned garden all complement the building. In addition to the four air-conditioned bedrooms, each with stylish en-suite bathrooms, Villa Kavya has two comfortable seating areas, a large modern open space kitchen, a dining area that seats up to 12 people and an air-conditioned TV lounge room.

Indonesian Architect Sekar designed the villa in a modern interpretation of the open living spaces used in traditional Balinese architecture. Spaciously laid out on 300 square metres, she combined traditional wooden shingle roofs, warm teak wooden floors and interior elements, cream-colored granite and polished grey cement in a striking, stylish contrast to the large central grass lawn. Large French doors keep light and air flowing through the interiors, providing a sense of tropical island living.

Pools

Villa Kavya features two pools with long wooden patios and lounges. Measuring 17m x 5m the main pool is large enough to allow you to swim laps. A smaller plunge pool of 6m x 4m, separated from the large pool by a small pavilion, is perfect for children.

Living Areas

The main living area was designed completely open, with a cooling water feature on one side and the garden on the other. Located between the guest bedrooms and the kitchen the living room has large comfortable couches that invite casual lounging. The contemporary open-space kitchen is equipped with all modern appliances, a central cooking island and a long wooden breakfast bar to separate it from the main dining area. The dining area opens onto the pool and can easily sit 8 to 12 people. Villa Kavya also features a separate air-conditioned lounge room with a large flat-screen TV and a music system that make it perfect for watching sports, seeing a movie or listening to music. Villa Kavya’s large open garden with its meticulously manicured green lawn provides a perfect setting for small private events or a variety of lawn sports.

Bedroom

Villa Kavya has 4 light and airy bedrooms, 3 with king-sized beds and 1 with twin beds. The layout of the bedrooms maximizes space as well as privacy. All bedrooms have contemporary en-suite bathrooms with two sinks and showers, and large wooden walking wardrobes. The master bedroom takes up the complete second floor of the villa. It features a king-sized four-poster bed draped in white voile. Big French doors open onto a generous private terrace overlooking the garden and pools and offering glimpses of the ocean. The large walking wardrobe and the contemporary bathroom both have a view of surrounding rice-fields. The first guest bedroom has a large comfortable king-size bed wrapped in white voile. Its open- air bathroom includes a dramatic stone-hewn bathtub on a private separate patio. This bedroom also has its own seating area opening onto the central garden. The second bedroom has twin beds and a small working area with a desk and shelves, as well as an en-closed bathroom, thereby making it ideal for children. The third bedroom is separated from the main building and the general living area by a large water feature and a romantic frangipani tree increasing privacy as well as a sense of space. It has a small lounging area and a lovely modern open-air bathroom.

STAFF

Villa Kavya is fully serviced by:

One Villa manager -
Oversees and coordinates the staff and property and is available to assist guests during their stay.

One cook -
Trained in the preparation of both local and international cuisine. A menu is provided, and the cook will do all the market shopping.

One maid -
Responsible for housekeeping duties, taking care of your daily laundry and providing waiter service around the grounds and buildings of the property.

Two security guards -
Their duties are to patrol the grounds and guard the entrance of the villa from dusk to dawn ensuring your security.

One gardener and pool attendant -
Tending the garden and the grounds of the villa. Cleaning and maintaining swimming pool.
