This charming villa is located in an easy access spot to the beach, shops and restaurants, yet it is on a quite back road with an upstairs view of the volcanoes from the bedroom balcony of a private area in Seminyak near the Oberoi hotel. One is only a two-minute walk from a swimming beach and sunset views. The design of Villa Cottage Place really gives a Bali feeling with the grass roof and canopied walkway with sitting lounge and sky light over a lotus pond at the entrance. The open living area and dining area with kitchen are located in a separate structure facing the garden and swimming pool with fountain and a roof covered sitting pavilion- with mosquito net and night time lighting inside. At the left side of the property is the bedroom structure with complete air-conditioning inside all rooms and glass doors with the option of open or enclosed. The large downstairs bedroom features a large indoor/outdoor bathroom with access to the pool area. The adjoining study with TV features a single bed that can be used as a sofa or an additional sleeping space which might be ideal for a couple with a small child, as sleeping arrangements would be nearby. Upstairs there is also another large bedroom with an adjoining bathroom and balcony opened to the view beyond. The interior of this villa is impeccable and with good taste. Near the entrance is another, third tastefully designed bedroom with equal spaciousness as the other two bedrooms and an en-suite bathroom. The property is comprised of three separate thatched pavilions, quintessentially Balinese in design and situated around the landscaped grounds.
The villa features an open plan living area which serves as living room, dining room and bar-cum-dry kitchen.
The fully air-conditioned sleeping quarters contains three double bedrooms and a study. On the ground floor, the master bedroom has French windows opening onto the garden, a queen size four poster bed and an en-suite garden bathroom with outside bathtub.

The study, which connects with the master bedroom, doubles up as an indoor lounge suitable for children to watch TV or DVDs and can be used as an additional sleeping area for young children up to 10 years old. A guest washroom is adjacent to the study. The stairway is incorporated into the study and leads to the first floor bedroom which has a king size bed, an en-suite bathroom with shower, and a balcony. The third bedroom has a lumbung style roof, twin beds and an en-suite bathroom with outside shower. The twin beds can be placed together to make a large queen size bed. All three bedrooms are suitable for adult couples.

The villa also includes staff quarters comprising a fully equipped kitchen and an adjoining laundry room/office and staff bathroom.

The two main pavilions look out onto a lush tropical garden which is the focal point of the property. A 10 x 3 meter peanut-shaped swimming pool is fed by a waterfall and surrounded by a sundeck with 4 sun loungers and a Bale with mattress and cushions for those who prefer to relax in the shade.

The property has been designed to provide a variety of different places where one can sit and relax, read a book, have a massage or simply meditate among the beautiful surroundings. Throughout the property, Balinese craftsmanship and attention to detail is apparent in the many wood and stone carvings that adorn the premises.

Parking is available for 2 cars and space can be made for a further 3 cars during dinner parties.

Bali Villa Cottage is fully serviced by:

* A house manager who oversees and coordinates the staff and property and is normally available to assist guests during their stay.
* One full-time cook who is trained in the preparation of both local and international cuisine. A menu is provided and the cook will do all the marketing for groceries and present the bills for re-imbursement. All catering is done at cost, there is no charge for preparing the meals.

* Two maids responsible for housekeeping duties, taking care of your daily laundry and providing waiter service around the grounds and buildings of the property.

* A security guard is on-site at night to watch over the villa and to man the gate when guests leave and/or return to the villa after dark, start the generator if there is a power failure between dusk and dawn and let down the bamboo blinds in the event that it rains.

* All the staff help with tending to the garden and the grounds of the villa. A pool attendant comes 3 times a week to test the water chemistry and to keep the pool in tiptop condition. The pool is equipped with an ionization water purification system which minimizes the need for chemical additives.
